Dushyant Sharma was elected to UIC EAA as a Member-at-Large April 2017. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering in 2001 and earned his MS in Biomedical Engineering and Entrepreneurial Studies from UIC in 2005. Dushyant’s career began at Biomet, Inc, and Hydro-Aire, Inc working in research and documentation. While attaining his master’s degree, he worked for Toxair, LLC developing efficacy of a prototype IAQ sampling device with the addition of complete statistical analysis and feasibility of the IAQ. Mr. Sharma is a qualified laboratory scientist who while at Rush University Medical Center worked on projects in the neurological sciences. These included brain biochemistry, pathology, and anatomy of the ocular lens.
Dushyant delved into the financial realm early on as an intern at Northwestern Mutual Financial Network and is presently a consultant for DAS Financial. He offers financial solutions to the needs of a diverse market.
Dushyant is a vegetarian who is open to test out the latest types of cuisine, and enjoys time in the kitchen preparing meals. He is an avid gardener and sports enthusiast. He will occasionally go to a Cubs game or watch the Chicago Sky. Dushyant spends time mentoring his family and is active in the West Ridge, Rogers Park and Albany Park communities.
